Lawn Fertilizer/Weed Control Program

Lawn Fertilizer

Lawn care is a process, not an event. A picture perfect lawn requires cooperation from all phases of lawn care. Long-term health of your lawn requires ongoing maintenance including fertile soil, correct watering techniques, an annual aeration, and proper mowing height. Our five application lawn program uses the best products available, in the correct combinations, to maintain a healthy root system and control weeds.

Program Details

  • Early Spring - We apply balanced fertilizer, broadleaf weed control, and the first of two essential treatments of pre-emergent crabgrass control.
  • Late Spring - We apply balanced fertilizer, broadleaf weed control, and the second treatment of crabgrass control.
  • Summer - We apply slow-release fertilizer and broadleaf weed control to maintain your turf's health during the heat of summer.
  • Late Summer/Early Fall - We apply balanced fertilizer and broadleaf weed control to sustain the beauty of your turf for the remainder of the growing season.
  • Late Fall - We apply a slow-release fertilizer that strengthens your turf's root system and facilitates an early spring green-up.

Tree & Shrub Insect/Disease Control Program

Disease Control

Some insect activity in your trees and shrubs is normal. However, a necessary precaution in a healthy landscape is periodic evaluation and treatment. When excessive populations of harmful insects are allowed to persist in your landscape, the damage done may be unsightly and impossible to repair. The best defense against a harmful pest problem is prevention.

Our four application program is designed to protect your valuable landscape plantings from insect and disease damage.

Program Details

  • Early Spring (Dormant Oil) - We apply a dormant oil to control overwintering insects before they cause damage. This application also contains fungicide that reduces spring mildew damage.
  • Spring - We treat your landscape plantings to control a host of plant-damaging insects such as aphids and scale.
  • Summer - We treat your landscape plantings to control damaging mites, scale, aphids, and other insects.
  • Late Summer - We treat your landscape plantings to control persisting insects before they overwinter in your trees and shrubs.

Tree Systemic Insecticide (Stops Dripping/Sticky Trees)

Tree Systemic Insecticide

Tree Systemic Insecticide

One application per season protects against destructive pests on ornamental trees such as maple, birch, elm, and many others. This treatment protects against borers, scale and other insects and guarantees aphid control for the entire season.

Soil Injection - Injection into the ground within the root zone of the tree.

  • Successful treatment can be made throughout the season. However, for preventative management, treating in the fall or early spring is most effective.
  • Recommended for annual preventive systemic treatment.

Direct Injection - Injected directly into the bark of the tree.

  • Applied from late spring through late summer.
  • Recommended for systemic treatment during the season or annual preventative treatments when soil injection is not feasible.

Spider and Insect Control

Spider and Insect Control

Spider/Insect Barrier

This service controls spiders and other insect pests by creating a barrier around your house. We treat around windows and doors, the foundation, and under eaves to reduce insect activity in and around your house. Our annual program consist of three applications.

Lawn Core Aeration

Lawn Core Aeration

Lawn Core Aeration

Compacted soil and heavy thatch are the main obstacles in achieving a beautiful lawn. Compaction and thatch suffocate grass by preventing air, water and nutrients from reaching root zones.

What does this mean? Your lawn may not look its best in spite of good maintenance practices. Aeration improves drainage, stimulates growth, relieves soil compaction, and increases the effectiveness of fertilizers.

Aeration is the process of removing small 2" - 3" deep cores of soil and thatch allowing your lawn to "breathe". The cores, containing nutrients and microbes, will break down and disappear within a few weeks. We recommend aeration at least once a year.
